2025 NAIOP NC Project of the Year Awards

The Project of the Year Awards recognize outstanding commercial development in North and South Carolina. The award is presented annually during the NAIOP NC Conference in Pinehurst.

Submit your projects now for the NAIOP NC Project of the Year Award Awards. Awards will be given for three (3) categories: New Development, Redevelopment, and Industrial Development.

Project of the Year Criteria: 

• Must have been completed or significantly completed (at least core & shell) between January 1, 2024 - December 31, 2024 

• Submission must include a NAIOP member in good standing who demonstrates substantial participation in the project 

• Submissions can be submitted for:

  • ​Project Category #1 New Development 

  • Project Category #2 Redevelopment/Adaptive reuse/Repurpose) 

  • Project Category #3 Industrial Development (NEW!)  

• Projects will be selected based on 30-point grading system 

• Project must have made a unique contribution to the economic growth and vitality of a region or community (e.g., job creators, catalyst for surrounding economic development, and creation of public infrastructure that would have otherwise not occurred)(10 points) 

• Demonstrated unique design or innovation (is there a “cool factor”) (10 points) 

• Ability to overcome design, regulatory issues or other factors that challenged the project at various phases (10 points) 

• Please submit photos/renderings of project. Submit online or email additional photos to info@naioprd.org  (Subject line 2025 NAIOP NC Project of the Year)  

• A representative of the winning project will be asked to accept the award at the NAIOP NC Conference in Pinehurst on February 20, 2025 during the conference.
